Resokai presents
A spiritual world runs parallel to ours. The boundary between them — the Veil — is thinning, and things are coming through where you live. Almost nobody can sense it. You can. Free on iOS and Android.
Most games hand you a map and ask you to walk it. Resonant hands you a sense. Resonants from Resokai are slipping through the Veil into our world, and what turns up near you depends on where you are standing, the weather overhead and the hour. A rainy riverbank and a city street at midnight are two different hunts. The car park behind your office at eleven at night is not a loading screen for the real game. It is the real game. And you are never out there alone: other Veilwalkers are scanning the same night, one message away on Kaicom — ready to team up and trade what they have sealed.
The loop
Four things, learned in the first ten minutes, deep enough to still be interesting a season later.
Spend reion to open your Reion Sense on the place you are standing. Resonants and hidden treasure surface around you — you won't know what a Resonant is until you face it, and nothing waits forever. Where you are, the weather and the hour decide which elements turn up.
Tap a Resonant and the fight begins. Attack, swap, use items — or flee. Five elements, each strong against one and weak to another, so the team you bring matters. When one of yours faints, Reion Infuse revives it from the same reion you scan with.
Weaken it, then reach for a scroll. The lower its health and the stronger the scroll, the better your odds — no timing bars, no reflex tests. Fail, and it may escape. Succeed, and it joins your team to level up, evolve and fight beside you.
The social heart of the game. Chat with Veilwalkers in real time across its channels, make friends, bond with a Duo partner to play alongside, and trade Resonants and coins. Every scan, fight and seal is worth more with someone to share it with.
On the screen
Four moments from a single evening’s play.

Help
A person reads every message. We aim to answer within one business day, and we'll tell you if something is going to take longer than that.
The more of this you can include, the faster we can fix it:
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google rather than by us, so refunds are requested through them — reportaproblem.apple.com on iOS, or your order history in Google Play on Android. If something you paid for didn't arrive in your account, write to us and we'll put it right regardless of how the refund goes.
Report a player from inside the app rather than by email — the in-app report carries the context we need to act on it. Reports are triaged by a person, and you'll hear back about the outcome.
To close your account and remove the data attached to it, see Delete your account. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected, email us and say so — the privacy policy covers what we collect and why.
The store is not open yet. When it launches, orders will be handled separately from the game and shipping and returns will be covered on their own page. Until then, write to us with any question about the books.
The press kit has a fact sheet, boilerplate you can copy, and a direct line. Early access to builds is available on request.
Your data
You can delete your Resonant account and the data associated with it at any time. Two ways, below — and you don't need the app installed to make the request.
The account closes immediately. Deletion completes within 30 days.
Email from the address on the account, with Delete my account as the subject, and include your in-game display name so we can find it. We'll confirm the request and complete it within 30 days.
A small amount of information survives deletion, either because the law requires it or because removing it would let the same problem recur:
None of it is used to advertise to you, and none of it is sold.
Write to , or read the privacy policy for the full picture of what the game collects. General help lives on the support page.
Press & creators
Everything you need to write about Resokai, plus a direct line to us. Early access to builds and reveals is available to press and creators on request.
Short — one line
Resonant is a location-aware collection RPG for iOS and Android, set in the modern world and the spiritual world running parallel to it.
Long — one paragraph
A spiritual world runs parallel to ours, and the boundary between them is failing. Almost nobody can sense it. In Resonant, you are one of the rare people who can — scanning the world around you, battling the Resonants that have slipped through, and sealing them onto your team. Where you are, what the weather is doing and what hour it is all change what you find, and Kaicom puts you in touch with other Veilwalkers to team up and trade. Free to play on iOS and Android, from the world of the Resokai Trilogy.
Logo, wordmark and key art are available on request while the art pass is finishing. Write to us and we'll send a pack the same day.
Legal
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it and what you can do about it. It covers the Resokai website and store at this domain, and Resonant, our game for iOS and Android. They collect different things, so they are described separately.
When you join the launch list we collect your email address and the date you signed up. We use it to tell you when the game launches, when closed beta invitations go out, and occasionally when there is something worth reading. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
The store is not open yet. Nothing in this subsection is happening today; it describes what will apply once it launches.
When you place an order we collect your name, shipping address, email address and order contents, and we receive confirmation from our payment processor that payment succeeded. We never see or store your full card number — card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page.
Your cart is stored in your own browser on your own device. It is not sent anywhere until you begin checkout, and clearing your browser storage clears it.
Our hosting provider records standard technical information for every request — IP address, approximate region derived from it, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. These logs exist to keep the site available and to investigate abuse and errors.
If analytics are enabled on this site they are cookieless and aggregate: page views and referrers, with no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers and no profile of you as an individual. Nothing analytics-related loads unless it has been configured.
Resonant collects the following, and only while you are using it:
What the game does not do. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not run third-party advertising SDKs in the game.
Location is the most sensitive thing the game touches, so it gets its own section.
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or another region with similar law, our lawful bases are:
We use a small number of service providers, each of which handles data only on our instructions and only for the purpose listed:
| Who | What for | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Store payments and fraud prevention | Name, email, address, order contents, and the payment details you enter with them |
| Apple · Google | App distribution and in-app purchases | Purchase records; they are the merchant of record |
| Our email provider | Sending the mailing list and transactional email | Email address |
| Hosting and backend providers | Running the site, the game servers and backups | Whatever the service stores, encrypted at rest |
| Crash and performance reporting | Diagnosing faults | Device, OS and app version, crash traces, per-install identifier |
| Shipping carriers | Delivering physical orders | Name and shipping address |
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of a person. If Resokai is ever acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the acquirer, who would remain bound by this policy until they give you notice of any change.
We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on an approved transfer mechanism — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK Addendum, or an adequacy decision where one applies.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication. Payment card data never touches our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data and the law requires it, we will notify you and the relevant regulator within the required time.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
Email us and say which you want. We will respond within the time your law allows — one month under the UK and EU GDPR, forty-five days under California law. We will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising a right.
You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
You have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to — all set out in sections 2, 3 and 6. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, including that of anyone under 16. We honour Global Privacy Control signals. You may use an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf, with proof of authorisation.
We are an Iowa company. The Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act gives Iowa residents the right to confirm whether we are processing their data, to obtain a copy of it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data — none of which we do. If we refuse a request you may appeal, and we will respond to the appeal in writing. Email us and say you are appealing.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and Delaware — have broadly the same rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out, including a right to appeal a refused request. Email us to exercise any of them, or to appeal.
Resonant is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. In the EEA and the UK, where the age of digital consent in your country is higher than 13, that higher age applies instead.
If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete the account and its data promptly. Parents and guardians may contact us to review, or ask us to delete, any information we hold about their child.
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will give you notice in the game or by email before it takes effect, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent.

These terms are a contract between you and Resokai. They cover the Resokai website and store at this domain, and Resonant, our game for iOS and Android. By creating an account, playing, or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service is provided by Resokai LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Iowa, United States, at 6701 Corporate Dr Ste N, Johnston, IA 50131, USA. "Resonant" is our game. "Resokai" is us, and also the name of the world the fiction is set in. You can reach us at .
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Where the age of digital consent in your country is higher, that age applies instead. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to play and to make any purchase, and they accept these terms on your behalf.
You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country or of the country you are in.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Resonant on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial entertainment.
You may not, except where the law expressly permits it despite this clause:
We reserve every right not expressly granted here.
The game has chat, display names, trading and partner links. When you use them, do not:
And do not cheat. Specifically, no automation, bots or scripts; no modified or unofficial clients; no spoofing or falsifying your location; no exploiting bugs rather than reporting them; no account or item sales for real money outside the game; and no interfering with, overloading or probing our systems.
Play safely. Resonant asks you to move around the real world. Be aware of your surroundings, obey the law, respect private property, and do not play while driving. You are responsible for your own safety and for any trespass or harm you cause.
You can report a player from inside the app. Reports are read by a person.
Your display name, messages and anything else you submit remain yours. By submitting them you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and transmit that content for the purpose of operating, moderating and promoting the service, and to keep the minimum record moderation and legal compliance require. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already distributed to other players and the moderation records described in our privacy policy.
You confirm you have the right to submit what you submit. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and we are not obliged to monitor everything.
Core parts of Resonant depend on your device's location. You control that permission and can withdraw it at any time in your device settings; the game remains usable without it, but location-dependent features will not work. What we read and what we keep is set out in the privacy policy. Falsifying your location is a breach of section 5.
Coins, scrolls, fragments, Resonants, cosmetics and everything else inside the game are a limited, personal, revocable licence to use them within the game. They are not your property, they have no monetary value, and they cannot be redeemed for money or transferred outside the game.
We may change, rebalance, withdraw or expire virtual items as part of running a live game. Where a change materially devalues something you paid real money for, we will give reasonable notice, and where the law requires a remedy we will provide one. If your account is closed for a serious breach of these terms, you lose unused virtual items without refund.
In-app purchases are sold and processed by Apple or Google, not by us. Their terms govern the transaction and they are the merchant of record. Prices may vary by region and may change.
Refunds for in-app purchases are requested from Apple or Google, through reportaproblem.apple.com or your Google Play order history. We cannot issue them directly. If something you paid for did not arrive in your account, write to support and we will put it right regardless of how the refund goes.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days — but that right is lost once delivery of the content begins with your consent, which is what happens when a virtual item is credited to your account immediately. Nothing here removes a right you have under consumer law.
The store is not open yet. This section sets out the terms that will apply to orders once it launches. Until then, nothing here is being sold and no orders are being taken.
Resonant is an online service. Content, balance, prices, events and features change; seasons begin and end; and we may add, alter, suspend or retire parts of it. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may take it down for maintenance.
If we ever discontinue the game entirely, we will give reasonable advance notice through the app and by email, and we will stop selling virtual currency before we stop operating.
If you take part in a closed beta or other pre-release build: it is provided as-is and will contain bugs, and you should treat unreleased content you see as confidential until we announce it publicly.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is fair and lawful to do so we will tell you why and give you a way to respond, and for anything short of a serious or repeated breach we will warn you first. You may close your account at any time, which does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already spent.
The Resokai and Resonant names, the world, characters, artwork, music, text, software and all other material we provide are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may share and link to pages on this site, and you may capture and share gameplay footage and screenshots for non-commercial purposes including videos and streams, provided you do not imply we endorse you. You may not resell our artwork or reproduce the books.
If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to us with enough detail to identify the work and the material, and we will act on it.
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the service — for example your mobile carrier's agreement, and the terms of the app store you downloaded from. Some components of the game are licensed from third parties; their notices are available on request and in the app's acknowledgements.
This section applies only if you obtained Resonant from the Apple App Store. It exists because Apple requires it, and it prevails over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost virtual items. Where we are found liable, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your country. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service. This does not apply to consumers where local law forbids it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Iowa have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident in the UK, the EEA, or another region whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own country, that right is preserved, and the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence continues to apply regardless of this clause.
Talk to us first. Before starting formal proceedings, please write to describing the problem and what you want. We will engage in good faith for 30 days. Most disputes end there, faster and at no cost to either of us.
No arbitration requirement. We do not require you to arbitrate, and we do not ask you to waive your right to participate in a class action. If that ever changes we will give you notice before it takes effect, and you will be able to reject the change by closing your account.
Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking urgent injunctive relief, or from bringing a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, stop using the service and close your account.
